About Us

Sheep and Goat Committee

This committee is responsible for greeting and working with four different sets of exhibitors/shows: Breeding Sheep, Dairy and Boer Goats, Sheep Dog Trials and Jr. Market Lamb & Goat Shows. Committee members also assist the superintendents in the judging rings to coordinate individual class competition. The goal of the Sheep & Goat Committee is to offer each exhibitor an enjoyable show experience as well as helping to educate the public about these specific industries.

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo promotes agriculture by hosting an annual, family-friendly experience that educates and entertains the public, supports Texas youth, showcases Western heritage, and provides year-round educational support within the community.

Since its beginning in 1932, the Rodeo has committed more than $600 million to the youth of Texas and education.
