Welcome to the Virtual Boots and Bling, It's A Bunny Thing!

 

While we would much rather see everyone in person, the welfare and safety of our supporters and committeemen are our top priority. With that being said, we still have a job to do, and for that we need you, now more than ever. Regardless of location or event attendance, you can support the Rabbit Committee by participating in our online auction. Our online auction includes activities, hotels, health and wellness, gift certificates to local restaurants, and more.

 

By supporting the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Rabbit Committee through this virtual event, you are helping to make a positive impact on our youth. Winners of the rabbit show events are awarded with cash prizes, jackets, belt buckles, trophies and ribbons, all of which are only possible through your donations. Show participants benefit from raising rabbits to compete at the Houston Livestock Show™, and along the way they learn responsibility, respect and come away with a sense of accomplishment that translates into life lessons remembered long after the event. Through this annual rabbit show, the committee has seen many lives changed for the better.

  • 9:00 AM - Silent Auction and Big Board Open

Tuesday, September 22, 2020

  • 5:30 PM - Zoom Meeting will open for Happy Hour

  • 6:30 PM - Live Event will Start

  • 6:50 PM - Live Auction Starts

Friday, September 25, 2020

  • 10:00 AM - Big Board Auction Closes

  • 11:00 AM - Silent Auction Closes

Register To Participate

  1. Click Bidder Registration above. 
  2. Click the green "Create Account" button on the right side of the page.  Or log in with existing credentials and skip to step 6.
  3. Confirm your email address by entering it into both fields, check the box for "I'm not a robot", and click the green "Confirm" button.
  4. A confirmation email will be sent to you.      
  5. Check your inbox for an email from "Greater Giving Login" and click the link to finish registration. If you don't receive an email check your spam or click the "Resend Email" button on the "Verify Email" page.
  6. Enter all your contact information, along with your credit card.  Make sure to enter your cell phone number to receive text message alerts when the auction opens and updates about your favorite auction items.
  7. Click the large green gavel button on the right that reads "Start Bidding" underneath it.
  8. You're all set and ready to Bid! Scroll down to see all auction items

 How Will the Auction Work?

Live Auction

First you will need to go through the steps above and register.  Above is the Event Zoom Link, the live auction will be conducted entirely inside of that zoom meeting.  We will take bids through the chat and our auctioneer will accept and announce them as he would in a normal auction.  As he closes the bidding on each item he will announce the winner and the item will be sold.

Silent Auction and Big Board

The Silent Auction and Big Board will be sold utilizing the Greater Giving Online Bidding platform.  These will close based on the schedule above.  Be sure to utilize the favorite items and filtering features in the menu to better navigate through all of the items.

Ways to Support the Event

  1. Register as a bidder and purchase or bid on items.  Even if you don’t win it helps raise additional money!
  2. Donate money through the bidding page by selecting the donation button or purchasing one of the Honorary Bunny or Paddles Up Packages.
